What’s it like?
Based in a beautiful house in Katoomba, we shall arrive Friday night and have dinner together at the house. After breakfast together on Saturday morning we then head out for our first walk. The trekking over this weekend will incorporate a longer, tougher walk on Saturday, most likely in the Grose valley but we shall always ensure the weather conditions are safe to do so. On Sunday we head out for a shorter walk, this time on the Jamison/Megalong Valley side of the mountains. We shall start relatively early in the mornings to make the most of the cooler hours as smart trekkers do. Group dinner on Saturday evening will be at a local restaurant. Optional afternoon tea over the weekend as well as the chance to visit the Heritage Centre in Blackheath, the stunning Hydro Majestic at Medlow Bath and plenty of other great places of interest.
