Welcome to the Adventure Project

I’m Zoe Scott-King, the Founder of The Adventure Project.  Living in Sydney,  I realised how much I love doing cool stuff outdoors, specifically trail-running and going for awesome day hikes.  I also realise that for many women there’s a lot to learn about starting out trail-running and also a need for a great community so I decided to make my own, Where The Wild Things Run. I also wanted to create some fun bushwalking days with themes, just to mix things up a little.

We are passionate about trail-running and hiking

The Adventure Project is here to help you be adventurous and make it fun and enjoyable to get out outdoors whether it’s trail-running or hiking. We offer a women’s beginner trail-running squad which meets one Sunday morning a month.  If you prefer bushwalking then check out our Hikes with a Twist which have a different theme per series of walks, all going to the best National Parks around Sydney. If you prefer to organise your own ideal day out for a group we can do that for you, we love creating custom adventures days too!

We are trekking specialists

The Adventure Project is here to help you be adventurous and make it easy and enjoyable so you can spend your time exploring the beautiful destinations we go to. If it’s your first bushwalk, you are visiting Sydney and want to explore some new walks, or you live here and wish to train towards some of the great trekking events on offer we have the perfect adventure for you.  We have special trekking and yoga retreats in the Blue Mountains, and our Bucket List trips to some of the best trekking destinations on the planet.

Inspired by the outdoors

Originally from the UK and having lived in Sydney since 2000 I love being active in the outdoors and travelling our beautiful planet. I’ve completed multiple trail running races including ultra-runs, triathlons, road runs, ocean swims and cycling events. I’ve trekked in some of the most inspiring destinations on the planet, Patagonia, Gobi Desert, the Alps, Pyrenees, Tanzania, Scotland, New Zealand and of course my home Australia. I started The Adventure Project so I can share my passion with others. I believe that being outdoors is fun, challenging but teaches us so much, for me it’s the best classroom in the world.
